You Are Being Held

3. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. (Psalm 91:3-4 KJV)

God is Holding You!

Have you ever paused and thought about why you haven't succumbed to your situation although things are rough and tough and challenging? That's simply because YOU  ARE  BEING  HELD  BY  THE  MASTER! A USA reader that responded to one of these devotionals just this week reminded me of this fact when he made this statement via email. "It's not so much that I am holding on, but rather that I am constantly held, by the everlasting arms."

I had to conclude how much of a truism that was.

Friend, I want you to spend the next thirty seconds thinking back on the many challenges you've faced already. 1 . . . 2. . .  .3. . .   Now that you've thought, hasn't God always delivered or provided some type of solution? Yes he has! It may not be just what we wanted and how we wanted it, but WE  WERE  HELD  BY  JESUS  and  delivered.

Do you remember when you needed a financial breakthrough? God sent it just in time - right? What makes you feel he won't do it again?

Do you remember when you were in deep distress over some sought of illness? What happened? You prayed. You asked others to pray. Today you or your loved one are much healthier.

We can go on and on. The point that I am raising here is that you are alive and making it day by day, week by week, month by month and year by year because GOD  IS  HOLDING  YOU!

When ever we don't want something precious to break, we hold it ourselves. God doesn't want anything to happen to you, so. . . HE'S  HOLDING  YOU  HIMSELF!

The Psalmist provides much comfort in Psalm 91:3-4. He says, (paraphrased) no matter what you are going through. No matter the storm or trial that you face. No matter the trap that has been set up for you by those around you - YOUR  HATERS - YOUR  ENEMIES - YOUR FRENEMIES. Fear Not! God will deliver.

Friend. . . some of the best encouragement I can give you, I'll pull from the scripture under review.  

1. God shall deliver you from all snares or plans of the enemy
2. You shall be delivered from the noisome pestilence
3. You shall be covered by his feathers, and sheltered under his wings
4. God's truth shall be your shield and buckler.

After such wonderful promises, I believe deep within my heart for sure, that I  AM  BEING  HELD. So to, are YOU!

Drop The Excess Baggage

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14 KJV)

The only way you can move forward is if you leave the EXCESS  BAGGAGE  behind.

I had quite a challenging night, last night when reality hit. I was thinking about some choices and decisions that I made throughout my twenty-five years on this earth. Some of them I am quite happy about and others I wish I could just erase and turn back the hands of time.

I know you know what I'm talking about. If we had to live our lives over again, some of us would ensure we stayed focused in school so we did better at the end of High School. Some of us would ensure that we had settled down with a partner instead of having children here and there. Some of us would have built our house a little earlier or applied for a piece of land before. Some of us would have put our idea to work and now regret that we didn't because someone else has taken it and has a lucrative business going. Some of us would have saved more when things were better and be cautious about every dollar. I know, last but not least, some of us would ensure that we NEVER  MET some people who damaged our lives someway or the other.

While preparing a sermon during the wee hours of this morning for a Youth Sunday Service, God gave me some words under one of the Three Points up for discussion throughout the message. Interestingly enough, the word was directly for me too - actually for all of us.

God wanted me to encourage the young people to DROP  THE  EXCESS  BAGGAGE if they are to move on to their DESTINY.

Here is how you deal with any piece of Baggage or Obstacle that is damaging your mind or preventing you from moving on in life or is hindering your walk with Christ.Whether it be business, jewelry, relationship etc. You have to Speak to the EXCESS  BAGGAGE  TODAY - What ever it is. 

From the Sermon Script: Say. . . 

Excuse me please EXCESS  BAGGAGE. I would like to have a few seconds of your time. With all due respect, I want you to know that I’m MOVING  ON. I’ve examined my life and I’ve come to realize that you are just a piece of EXCESS  BAGGAGE keeping me back from my destiny – so I’m leaving you here and I’m moving on! Good Soldiers Do Not Carry Excess Baggage!

Paul had ONE goal in mind. It was to win the race. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14 KJV)

In order to win the race, he recognized that he had to leave every piece of excess baggage behind and and MOVE  ON. So too friend, if you are to reach your goal and fulfill your dreams, you can no longer allow obstacles on Life's Track to Hold You Back.

I can't undo what I have done, neither can you. What we can do though, is to leave our past at the feet of Jesus and move forward with a New Mindset to make the best of what is ahead.

There is nobody who is immune because it could have tremendous economic, social, physical and emotional impact on all the people of our island…

28 year old Brother Khrystus V. K. Dear Global Friend,

I just ended devotions with the children at my I  KNOW  WHO  I  AM  CAMP  a few minutes ago. Each morning, one of the adults shares a CHARACTER  BUILDING  BIBLE  STORY.

It was my turn to teach today and I decided to share the STORY  OF  NOAH! We had a great time as USUAL with the children excited and bubbling and asking many of questions.

Somewhere in the middle of the story when I reached the point where NOAH  SHUT  THE  DOOR  OF  THE  ARK and everyone was killed, a child stopped me and asked, "But Brother Khrystus, Isn't God A Good God?"

That caused others to support her and shout "IS  TRUE? A good God doesn't KILL  PEOPLE."

You see friend, children do have questions to ask and they are also ALWAYS thinking.

During the story, I told the children of why God decided to send the flood to destroy everyone except NOAH, because of how disobedient the people of that day had become.

Another child said, "Brother Khrystus that means another flood soon come then."

I cleared their minds, but didn't go too deep into everything to SCARE  THEM. NOTICE - My camp is for children ages 5 - 13, well I do have some 4 year olds.

They HAVE  QUESTIONS  TOO  AND NEED  ANSWERS.  DO  NOT  IGNORE  THEM  OR  SOMEONE  ELSE  MAY  CORRUPT  THEIR  MINDS!

How would you have responded if you had to answer my question from the child? "But Brother Khrystus, Isn't God A Good God?"


Is the world slowly coming to an end? Is God preparing to setup a NEW  WORLD - A  GODLY  KINGDOM?  

IS  A  21st  CENTURY  NOAH  HAPPENING  IN  PROCESS? Will only THOSE  ON  NOAH'S  ARK  SURVIVE?

Let us join now in prayer internationally for the FAMILIES of those on the current flight that is MISSING  TODAY - It hasn't LANDED  AS  YET - Let us pray for the families of those that just lost their lives in the CRASH over UKRAINE - Let us pray for the families of those that were never found in the first MISSING  PLANE.
