Today, 1st March, 2014, The Blazing Star Movement's innovative, secretive, intuitive and aggressive team celebrates the fact that we are more than alive and well to see and celebrate our first Anniversary and continue planning our next move.
Any mother would tell you that giving birth to a baby is no easy task. So too, giving birth to any new business or organization is certainly a huge undertaking. A child usually takes sixteen to eighteen years before we consider him or her a man or woman, so too, an organization does need time, before it can fully stop drinking milk and start biting on bones. We are not there yet, we are very much still in the teething process.
From the 1st of March, 2013 when we launched our political party, up until today, we have been through hell, but we have not given up at all. As a team, we believe that we are more than a threat to the Federal Government of St. Kitts-Nevis led by The Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Llewlyn Douglas' Labour Party Administration. We believe that we an making a bigger impact than that of Dr. Timothy Harris' Team Unity FOR SURE. Imagine that!
Why can we make such a bold statement? Simply because we have kept Dr. Denzil Douglas so scared that he had to "LOCK UP" the leader of The Blazing Star Movement in order to get some peace and sleep we understand from inside sources.
Dr. Timothy Harris and Team Unity seems to be no threat at all, after filing a vote of no confidence over one year ago and have made not much progress in terms of even getting it on the order paper, and haven't gotten much international attention unlike US.
The Blazing Star Movement is proud to say on this our 1st Anniversary, that our ACTION has gotten constant and ongoing international attention, and it is our understanding that Dr. Denzil Douglas has commissioned a group called "WATCH BSM VERY CLOSELY headed by Erasmus Williams and deputized by Hon. Nigel Carty," to read all our press releases, try to find out all who are apart of the team and get into their minds to see our next move, so he can be at rest and heal the water bags under his eyes.
If a one year old Political Party has gotten a seasoned, leading, long serving Prime Minister of the Caribbean Island of St. Kitts - Nevis so keenly interested in our doings, this means that we are definitely on the right track.
We have been through it all, but we have come out CONQUERORS. The Apostle Paul penned in Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
God, who began a GOOD work in The Blazing Star Movement is faithful to complete it. Our mission is still ALIVE and WELL. We are fighting for better for the youths, the poor, the working class, the disabled and the small businessman.
Whether elected or unelected, we promise to be YOUR voice and your AGGRESSIVE ACTION partner. People are looking for STRONG, SOUND, AGGRESSIVE LEADERSHIP and it does seem at the moment that the only Opposition Party in the Federation of St. Kitts - Nevis that it can be found in, is The Blazing Star Movement.
As a party, we also do promise not to wait until we are elected to office, when ever God decides, to start working. We will put our hands to the plow and HELP starting from NOW - our 1st Anniversary!
Theodore Roosevelt said, "It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who valiantly strives; who errs and comes short again and again; who knows the great enthusiams, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who, at the best, knows in the end, the triump of high achievement and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while DARING GREATLY, so that his place shall never be with those timid souls who know neither victory or defeat."
Politics is a very nasty, deadly and deceptive game. Only those with immense wisdom from God, fearlessness and intuition should ever try to lead any political party and we do believe that we are well positioned to lead The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis starting from today.
Miriam Colon said, "Leadership is knowing what you want and making it happen." We will ensure that The Blazing Star Movement Administration takes St. Kitts - Nevis forward. Carefully look and see. Silence is deadly!
In closing, may we remind you that the road ahead for the federation would not be an easy one. We cannot play politics day in and day out or our country will head to the dogs. Therefore, as the leading opposition party in the Eastern Caribbean, we want to lead by example.
Today, 1st March, 2014, we stretch forth our hand in friendship to Dr. Denzil Douglas, Leader of The St. Kitts - Nevis Labour Party, Dr. Timothy Harris, Leader of Team Unity, Hon. Vance Amory, Leader of The Concerned Citizens Movement and Hon. Joseph Parry, Leader of The Nevis Reformation Party and say, LET US LEARN TO LAY POLITICS ON THE BACK BURNER AT TIMES AND BEGIN TO WORK TOGETHER TO SAVE THESE TWO TWIN ISLANDS called St. Kitts - Nevis.
When ever you need help or ideas, our team is not just ready to sit and share our ideas, we are ready and willing to stretch across the table and work together with you despite our political difference and ambitions. This we believe is country above self.
To the Federation, in closing. We promise to heed the Apostle Paul's words in Galatians 6:9 and we will not get weary in well doing. Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
We are different colours, but one people. The task belongs to all of us, to try our best to stop practicing divisive politics in an era when we NEED to live together in order to survive.
This year, is our year, a year for all of us to RISE AND SHINE AND SOAR!
