Fellow Citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Happy 32nd Independence Anniversary from The Management and Staff of KVK ENTERPRISES - www.kvklives.com, Dare 2 Be Different International - www.daretobedifferentskn.com and The Blazing Star Movement - www.theblazingstarmovement.com. Saturday, 19th September, 2015 is upon us and we send our greetings out NOW.

We have made it to yet another milestone, but we are certainly not there yet. Our work to building the most outstanding twin island country in the world continues.

Centuries ago, the struggle for freedom and independence began. Blacks everywhere wanted full freedom from our oppressors that brought us from our Motherland Africa to serve all across the Caribbean, including our twin island Federation as Sugar Plantation SLAVES. Many of us are still very angry, but I beckon us to learn to forgive.  FORGIVE -  FORGIVE  -  FORGIVE  although we would NEVER  forget. I too believe fully in the fight for REPARATIONS. IT  IS  A  MUST  AND  WE  WILL  NOT  STOP  OUR  CRY  UNTIL  COMPENSATION  IS  PAID  TO  US  ALL.

From those dreadful days in the 18th century, anger and resentment, hate and resilience continued to build and build and build. Our peoples recognized the unfairness, the ill treatment and the injustices and fought for better. Many lent their brain power, skills, strategies and voices on platforms, in newspapers and on radio to usher in the move towards full independence from Britain.

Special honour must be given to the founders of The St. Kitts – Nevis Labour Party Movement, who, over 80 years ago radically pushed for better – for change – for FULL  FREEDOM. It was because of stalwarts such as The Right Honourable Robert Llewllyn Bradshaw, the nation’s 1st Premier and national hero, Sir Paul Southwell, Joseph Nathaniel France and many others including the WOMEN  WHO  WE  SO  NEED  IN  OUR  SOCIETY  TODAY, why we are FREE AND FULLY INDEPENDENT - TODAY.

As God would have it, Dr. The Right Honourable Kenendy Simmonds was handed the mantle through popular vote and led the Federation through to Independence on 19th September, 1983 under a joint People’s Action Movement and Dr. Simeon Daniel Nevis Reformation Party Coalition Government.

It has always been a fight – a struggle – a push for better.

More recent leaders such as former Prime Minister Dr. The Right Honourable Denzil Douglas did much good for the nation. So too did the Hon. Joseph Parry. Current premier of Nevis. Hon. Vance Amory has done his good too and continues to serve the people. The newly elected Team Unity Prime Minister, Dr. Timothy Harris does seem to have good intentions as we watch on closely and carefully and certainly wish him the very best.

The Godly Blazing Star Movement is bigger than POLITICS. We will never be so low as not to commend people and parties when they do their good. WE  PROMISE  NOT  TO  BE  POLITICAL  CRITICIZERS  ONLY. That doesn’t help in nation building. We would commend the good and ensure that we CONSTRUCTIVELY  CONTINUE  TO  CRITICIZE WITHOUT  FEAR  OR  FAVOUR in order to continue to build a BETTER  FEDERATION  OF  ST.  KITTS  AND  NEVIS.

At age 32, the fight continues and we certainly will not stop fighting and pushing until our Federation is as close to PERFECT as we can possibly be.

There are a few critically important issues that I want to address on this 32nd Independence Anniversary as a youth advocate and Founder and Leader of The Blazing Star Movement – www.theblazingstarmovement.com .

1.     GUN  CRIMES and ALL  CRIMES must begin to come to an end from TODAY. There are those who would suggest that we should just let the streets clean the streets and that is the only way we’ll rid our nation of the killers. I do not subscribe to that thinking at all. How foolhardy! I want to suggest that in order to usher in a change from the current  gang and gun culture, we must begin to mould the minds of our youth from age 0. Many parents and family members are the cause of why our nation has become so immoral – so criminally minded.

Why? We let our children watch anything. Listen to everything and let the television babysit them. After allowing this damage to the youth’s minds, many PARENTS and GUARDIANS then run to the POLICE for help and blame governments and politicians and the CHURCH for our irresponsible behavior. QUITE  A  STUPID  THING  TO  DO  INDEED!

CHANGE in the behavioural culture of our nation’s youth will only be ushered in when PARENTS  START  BEING  PARENTS  AGAIN  and stop letting the television and the profane music raise their children. WE  CANNOT  BLAME  ANYONE  BUT  OURSELVES for the path our children take, especially if we do not guide them from young.

Permit to state here and now that SEX  IS  FOR  ADULTS. When our nation again raises its standards and encourages abstinence until youth are of age, then we wouldn’t have the big problem that we have today, of PREGNANT  CHILDREN  giving birth to CHILDREN and wanting to raise decent and respectable adults. That is very hard and I must commend though, those who recognized the ERROR  OF  THEIR  WAY, pulled up their socks or stockings and DID  IT and encouraged their children to BREAK  THE  CYCLE.

HURRAY  TO  YOU!

I must make mention here and in short.. A godly upbringing is still critically IMPORTANT! I say no more.

Although there are many issues that I would like to touch in this national, regional and international address on  the 32nd Anniverary of Independence here in The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, that I ask of you for forward around the world to all your friends and family members, permit me to touch on self empowerment and entrepreneurship.

Our world has changed! If you are focused on going to school, getting an education and coming out to search for a job, you are disillusioned. That will be one of the hardest things to do in the next 5 years. Sorry the next year perhaps.

Jobs will be non-existent thanks to technology and the fast paced machine world.

I beg you hearing my voice today – BECOME  COMPUTER  LITERATE!  BECOME  COMPUTER  LITERATE! BECOME  COMPUTER  LITERATE!

In order to make money, one must begin NOW – NOW  I  SAY to carve our their own niche market or several niche markets like me, in order to gain income from one or several income streams.

Do not stay relaxed and feel that because you have 5 or 10 or 15 subject passes that you are special and should be hired. WAKE UP  AND  SMELL  THE  COFFEE. Welcome to the world of REALITY.  JOBS  ARE  HARD  TO  GET. Let me tell you of another truth. Many times, you do not get through in life by WHAT  YOU  KNOW, but rather by WHO  YOU  KNOW. Stay close to POSITIVE  PEOPLE  ALL  THE  TIME.

While I am on the issue of MULTIPLE  SUBJECT  PASSES and a holder and valedictorian of multiple subjects out of The Verchilds High School in St. Kitts, permit me again to WAKE  YOU  UP.

I am not where I am today because I passed many subjects alone and did studies online. I am where I am because of my SPECIALIZED  SKILLS. NONE  OF  WHICH  I  LEARNED  IN  SCHOOL. Many of which I read and watched videos and taught myself.

I am a t-shirt printer by trade. I build and design websites. I love marketing. I am a motivational speaker and global travelling preacher. I play the guitar and piano too. I love to cook. Oh yes I can cook and I am willing to publicly challenge the best chef in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. Bring it on! The point: I am where I am because of my SKILLS.

While I certainly do not which to bash any primary, secondary, tertiary or university that has provided me with educational empowerment and training, I want to mention here that the education training that I value most, was the time I spent in the United States of America, my younger brother and I, learning to use our KVK  ENTERPRISES – www.kvklives.com embroidery machine. That helps to make us a living! OUR  SKILLS.

I use my many subjects to teach afternoon – evening classes at my Dare 2 Be Different International Academy, but it is MY  SKILLS  THAT  MAKE  ME  A  LIVING.

By now, I gather that all youths and adults alike have gotten this last message on this our 32nd Independence Anniversary in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. Empower yourself! Get an education, but get a SKILL  OR  SKILLS  TOO. Do not set your mind to LOOK  FOR  WORK. Set your mind to CREATE  WORK!

May we all be fully focused to ride the tides and waves and let God fight our battles and calm our storms as we WORK  TOGETHER – RISE  TOGETHER -  WIN  TOGETHER!

Don’t give up! Hope is definitely ahead!

May God Bless you and may God bless The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
