New St. Kitts - Nevis Police Commissioner Queeley

Word on the street is that new St. Kitts and Nevis Police Commissioner Queeley may be trying his very first police brutality case very soon.

At the Tyrell Williams Primary School Career Day 2016, held yesterday 17th March at the school in Old Road, St. Kitts, a police chased and tackled Brother Khrystus for stealing a bag of popcorn and a lollipop from a Kindergarten child. While the young officer was doing her duty, onlookers, including several police officers from around the world who have seen the picture via social media said that EXCESSIVE FORCE wasn't needed in such a situation.

It is our media house's understanding that the matter has been brought to the attention of the current Commissioner of Police in St. Kitts and Nevis and his High Command for them to deal with.

One retired Sergeant says that he believes that this is why officers need to start wearing body cameras so that they can defend themselves in such tribunals.

Our media house will keep you up to date as to how Commissioner Queeley deals with this matter.
