Deaconess Rheo Buchanan of The Faith Tabernacle Church of God in Old Road St. Kitts, West Indies DROPPED it HOTTTT yesterday as she delivered the sermon for the day. The title: Give God What Is His!
Let me be plain and frank from the very onset. I do not read everything from everybody. I watch what and who I listen to because I am very concerned about what I feed my spirit and I DO NOT LET ANY AND ANYONE SPEAK OVER MY LIFE. If you don't like my attitude, that's fine too. You have to GUARD YOUR SPIRIT BECAUSE NOBODY IS GOING TO GUARD IT FOR YOU, because it's not everyone saying "PRAISE GOD AND HALLELUJAH. . . . . "
Let me begin now!
I've always admired Bishop Dr. Joseph Henville in certain respects. He shares his pulpit and gives the young and upcoming preachers a CHANCE to share the word of God. Over the years, he has invited me to preach too, ever since I was a little boy and not ever ORDAINED. I do respect him a great deal!
Yesterday, Deaconess Rheo Buchanan got the opportunity to expound on the word of GOD and she was more than HOTTT!
Now let me break down HOTTT! Hottt for me doesn't just mean shouting up and down the church and running up and down the church and speaking in tongues and giving jokes eh. HOTTTTT for me has to do with how WELL STUDIED YOU ARE! When someone is speaking to me about the things of GOD, they just have to come GOOD!
I am a Man of GOD and I know my BIBLE. Therefore if you stand at a pulpit and preach "STUPIDNESS," I know and I can identify it right away and it turns me off. You know that I'm a plain speak right? If Deaconess Rheo wasn't up to scratch, I wouldn't have even wasted my time writing here and telling the world, but she was ANOINTED AND GREAT!
From Deaconess Rheo's introduction, she kept me well in tune. I am usually a gentleman who is quite expressive with my AMEN'S and HAND CLAPS, but yesterday, the depth of Sister Rheo's presentation caused me to stay leaning over with my hand underneath my chin. SHE WAS DEEP!
Why did I end up at Faith Tabernacle yesterday? Here's why. While at the Cinema with my Dare 2 Be Different International Youths - something we do now and again to relax our minds, chill and have fun, I met two of my Dare 2 Be Different International Academy - www.daretobedifferentacademy.com students who started chilling with us and they said, "Brother Khrystus come visit our church nuh and we want you come to our Christmas programme on Monday." They put me in a spot and they are always so kind and loving and I really didn't know how to say NO. Also, when I examined my itinerary in my head, to tell them I had something else to do, would be a BIG LIE. So they caught me GOOD and I am happy that they did and that I went or I would have missed out on Deaconess Rheo's POWER WORD STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART OF GOD.
Deaconess Rheo was much better than me, I still type and print out my sermons when I am heading to preach or HIRED to give a motivational address anywhere around the world. I just don't trust TECHNOLOGY with everything. Sister Rheo though, was CONFIDENT that her ipad wouldn't fail her and she used it part of the way, along with her written notes. WOW! She really wowed me!
If I could remember well, this is the first time I heard her preach and SHE DROPPED IT HOTTTTT!
I won't use this article to get into the details of the sermon, but I'll share with you the scriptures that she expounded upon. Matthew 22: 15-22, Acts 12:21-23 and 1st Kings 18:21.
She powerfully reminded her listening audience TO GIVE GOD WHAT IS HIS ALL THE TIME -EVERYTIME AND NOT HOLD BACK ANYTHING - including tithes and offering EH. She reminded folks that SINCE YOU GET YOU DOUBLE SALARY - YOU TITHES SHOUDDA DOUPLE UP TO!
I do believe that Deaconess Rheo would want me to tell you the same thing too - GIVE GOD WHAT IS HIS or simply FACE THE CONSEQUENCES!
One point that stood out for me, was the fact that ALL PRAISES AND GLORY BELONGS TO GOD EVERYTIME! "You see wha GOD do wid Herod for trying to tek he glory and praise in Acts 12:21-23 ? GOD KILLED HIM! - SO YOU READER BETTER HUMBLE AND BETTER WATCH OUT!"
Global friend, let's obey Deaconess Rheo's words and ALWAYS GIVE GOD WHAT IS HIS!
