Think Of Me As A Person

Don't only see me without hands - - -
Think of me as a person.
Don't see me with no eye,
Think of me as a person.
Don't look at my one leg,
Look at me as a person.
Don't see my twisted body,
See me first as a person.
I may be epileptic,
But I am a person.
Though I may be para lytic,
I am a person, yes.
If I am mentally impaired,
I am a person too.
Don't picture me in deafness,
I am that person first.
My eye may not be painless,
I am a person still.

Why?
That's who I am.
I'm proud to be.
I am real. I am not a sham.
I am here. I have a right to be.
When you see me, see a person.
That's all I need to be happy.
