We all face situations in life where we just feel like giving up!
I do and I believe I can assume that you do too. When ever I am at that point in my life, I have to find someway to encourage myself. Thus, I pull trying stories from the Bible about characters who endured, fought, moved forward despite of and at the end - WON!
Moses is one such character who met with much opposition from Pharoah as he carried out God's task of leading the children of Israel out of bondage. He was constantly challenged and I believe tempted to get angry when Pharoah wouldn't heed. I believe that he wanted to give up too - but - he didn't. Moses endured until he was triumphant. Even when those who were suppose to be on his side started talking negatively, he never took his eyes off his Master - GOD and his task.
I am also reminded of the Apostle Paul, who had to face so many risky situations as he carried the gospel everywhere. Many times he had to literally RUN in order to live another day. Yet, he never gave up. At the end of his life, he was able to triumphantly state, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: ( 2 Timothy 4:7 KJV)
There is always a prize at the end of the road. A banner at the end of the race. Success at the end of hard work. Moses got his recognition! Paul got his Prize! You can get yours too - Don't Give Up Now! Hope is Ahead! You've come too far!
