None of us is perfect! We all make mistakes! We have all sinned! We have ALL said and done things that we regret and sometimes WISH we could just turn back the hands of time but WE JUST CAN'T.
Once we have asked God to take residence in our lives though, he gives us BRAND NEW SLATE AND HOPE WITH WHICH WE CAN LIVE ON. Apart of the deal though, suggest that we not keep the GOOD NEWS to ourselves, but it is imperative that our lives always PREACH THE GOSPEL OF JESUS SAVES.
Quite recently, a mature lady passed by my office to do some business. Having pleased yet another customer, her parting words MOVED ME. She said, "I've been apart of your mailing list over the years but I ONLY READ YOUR DEVOTIONALS. Just Stay Preaching The Gospel Khrystus. People need the Lord! I too believe that you can be ANYTHING that you want to be, BUT, just Stay Preaching The Gospel Khrystus. People need The Lord!
The Apostle Paul, a radical for Christ recognized that it was time to put pen to paper and write to young Timothy, a vibrant and upcoming preacher. Paul is noted throughout Biblical history as one of the stalwarts who kept the church and its believers encouraged, motivated, inspired and on the right track with regards to their thinking and God-inspired knowledge. Paul was just like me or I am just like Paul - always writing and writing and writing TO ENCOURAGE and TO INSPIRE and TO HELP OTHERS. The society of the day also thought that he was crazy too and a deceiver. How could this CHRISTIAN PERSECUTOR suddenly become such a RADICAL GOD WARRIOR and Christian Leader they constantly asked?
People have nothing BETTER to do than to talk and to criticize. That's a FACT over the years! Leave that type alone! Those are the ones who always remain to the bottom of the ladder while you stay RISING. As a believer, NEVER LOSE HOPE DESPITE THE NAYSAYERS WORDS! GOD IS FOR REAL!
In 2 Timothy 4:2, Paul instructs Timothy to Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
Let's discuss Paul's thinking for a while and see what it means to us living in the 21st century as God Followers - God Promoters - God Fans!
The first words in the verse under review today acknowledges God's Word - The Bible as the ONLY SPIRITUALLY AUTHORITATIVE INSTRUCTION BOOKLET EVER WRITTEN IN HISTORY. He suggests to young Timothy that PREACHING was to be his MAIN BUSINESS OF LIFE as Jesus would definitely return someday to judge the FAITHFUL.
Paul then continues to admonish him and recommends to him to BE INSTANT? What do those two words mean in this case? It meant that Timothy was to be CONSTANT in his duty of preaching the gospel. He was to stand by it, stand fast by it and keep pressing on as there was an URGENT - VERY URGENT NEED for folks to here how JESUS could make a change in their life!
I also believe that the OVERLY PASSIONATE PAUL was also suggesting to young Timothy that he must not just preach the gospel at scheduled times such as church and Sunday School, but to pursue every opportunity to spread the GOOD NEWS of the DIFFERENCE that JESUS could make in people's lives.
The words IN SEASON, suggest at that he must preach during GOOD TIMES and OUT OF SEASON suggests that he should be also reaching out and preaching in INCONVENIENT TIMES, times when persons didn't expect to be hearing THE WORD OF GOD.
During HEIGHTENED POLITICAL TIMES AS NOW AROUND THE WORLD. In times of hinderances and embarrassments or when there was no stated appointment or invitation to PREACH. That is why God allowed me an opportunity while incarcerated wrongfully by The Prime Minister Dr. Denzil L. Douglas Labour Party Federal Government of St. Kitts and Nevis on SEDITION charges from Monday, 27th May, 2013 to Friday, 29th November, 2013 - - - 6 months, to conduct two services each morning for 6 months singing the hymns of the faith, at times playing a guitar and of course PREACHING THE GOSPEL.
One service was for the remands and one for the convicts. He allowed me to go to prison and suffer for 6 months, like he allowed JOB to suffer because GOD loves EVERYONE and ensures that EVERYONE hears the gospel as PEOPLE DO NEED HIM. As a free man now, my heart feels so encouraged when I see past remands and convicts shouting me, hugging me, giving me a handshake or "DAPSING " me and saying PASTOR, you're the reason why I NEVER GAVE UP IN PRISON or you're the REASON why I'm SAVED TODAY. When I go back to the prison to conduct Dare 2 Be Different International Prison Ministry or see the brothers that are still serving time on the road doing work, OH WHAT A WELCOME or SHOUT I receive. I never forgot that they too need the Lord! you shouldn't either. I now have the RADICAL support of past remands and convicts just because I SHOWED them that JESUS LOVES THEM TOO, despite their mistakes. They come look me up to see if I'm ok ALL THE TIME. ALL THE TIME!
Nothing in life happens by CHANCE or without GOD's approval to PROVE A POINT and to OPEN THE EYES OF MANY! NOTHING Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
The words reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine suggested to young Timothy that he was to PREACH THE UNCOMPROMISING WORD OF GOD. Not be afraid to speak out and even WRITE PUBLICLY AGAINST WRONG AND CORRUPTION in the church, in the community and even in GOVERNMENT. Not be afraid to REBUKE IT even if he had to suffer. Not use high and mighty words that the people can't understand, but BE DOWN TO EARTH AND RAW in his exhortation to ALWAYS DRIVE HOME THE POINT, especially to the common man.
The Apostle Paul wasn't a cool, calm person. Do you remember that before he turned to GOD, he was a RADICAL WARRIOR PERSECUTING CHRISTIANS? People feared him! Therefore, he was suggesting to young Timothy to BE BOLD AND COURAGEOUS in his new ministry and JUST KEEP ON PREACHING THE GOSPEL.

The lady's words to me really touched my heart deeply. I couldn't believe that throughout all my blog entries of different types, styles, lengths and thinking, that there was ACTUALLY ONE PERSON in The Federation of St. Kitts - Nevis who was just looking out to read THE WORD THAT GOD ASKED ME TO STUDY AND SHARE and rejected everything else that I wrote as she read the TOPICS.
When she left, I sat outside under my mango tree and asked, "How many more people like her around the world Lord, just look forward to the devotionals that you inspire me to write. How many more Lord? This indeed encouraged me to obey her words and KEEP PREACHING THE GOSPEL and still be ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING I WANT TO BE IN LIFE..
Friend as I close, firstly, do you have a personal relationship with God and his son Jesus Christ? If you answered NO, you need him right now! RIGHT - RIGHT NOW! What if this were your last chance to accept him? PEOPLE ARE DYING DAILY!
If you are in a relationship with God, my question to you is, WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO PREACH THE GOSPEL IN YOUR LITTLE CORNER at home, at work or in your community? People NEED the Lord. They need to hear every second, every minute, every hour, every day, every week, every month, every year that THEY SHOULD NEVER GIVE UP AS HOPE IS DEFINITELY AHEAD!
