5PM Every Thursday With Brother Khrystus has returned - Sign Up Your Child For The Victor's Club

The 26 year old bachelor with no children seems to have all the time in the world and is probably powered by the sun, moon and stars. What really keeps this youth on fire? Is it Energizer Batteries or a special portion of Jesus' Blood?

Khrystus Wallace said that he will resume his 5PM - Thursday Kids Club as of 14th March, 2013 at his home at Boyds - St. Kitts.

The group will go by the name, "The Victor's Club" and will be the children's ministry of Dare 2 Be Different International - www.daretobedifferentskn.com

Wallace had suddenly paused the 5pm - Thursday Club some five years ago in May 2008 and treated over 50 children with Domino's Pizzas as if he knew what was going to happen. Brother Khrystus - a radical ordained youth minister and youth advocate, as he is commonly known across the Federation of St. Kitts - Nevis said that it was immediately documented in his new ministry's constitution that the club MUST resume in the future and open satellite hubs all across the Federation.

Wallace commented, "It's a delight to restart this club under our ministry from Thursday, 14th March, 2013 at 5pm. Since my pause, it honestly hurt my head and heart to hear so many kids asking for my return and so many parents begging for the innovative session. I know I would have restarted it, but God's timing matters. We know we would start with a few, but we have estimated, with our marketing and creative ideas, that within 6 months, The Victor's Club would be one of the biggest Children's Clubs impacting the nation and in every single constituency in St. Kitts - Nevis, then across the Caribbean then the world.."

Khrystus said that apart from the guaranteed Easter, Harvest, Christmas, Mother's and Father's Day programs along with drama nights and other activities that it would have, The Federation can also expect to see the return of The Annual Victory Camp which allows children the opportunity to travel overseas on a Camp with Brother Khrystus, Joy 'Lady Smiles' Codrington, Kerese Dias and Lemercius Wallace and partner with other foriegn churches to make the event great. Wallace always likes to Highlight Victory Camp 2010 in Tortola as the best camp overseas since the ministry was founded in 2008. He said, "We were advertising on Facebook that we were coming to Tortola to camp and look out for us on a particular day. I never expected so many parents to be there waiting for us with suitcases to sign up their children. The night before, I told my mother that God said to print about 30 extra t-shirts of various sizes and pack them and so we did. These were first time parents who were following everything our ministry was doing on Facebook and listening all our programs on radio and attending our events online since our Freedom Fest Launch Crusade on Radio Paradise in 2008.

Many of these parents met me for the first time and put their 5 year olds and 8 year olds in my hands to sleep over for 2 full weeks. I didn't mind the older youth, but I wondered to myself, if these Christian and Non Christian parents knew what they were doing putting their children in the hands of Crazy Brother Khrystus that they never met before. That had to be the holy spirit giving them approval.

The issue came when one day after we came now, a doctor from the hospital - Dr. Oyetunji brought his three children - 2 daughters Goodness and Pearly Grace and his son Precious. They didn't sleep over though, he would come for them everynight after work and we never knew that he remained on the outside watching everything that happened until a few days before we were ready to leave and this is what he said. "Sir, you are one of the most organized, trustworthy young persons I have ever seen. You command, love and take care of the youths and so many children like they are your own. Don't you have children?  Over all my days watching, I never heard you shout after any of them. I think you should come back to Tortola and do this every vacation and I'll help you advertise."

"I still communicate with the Dr., but never took up the offer - AS  YET." said Khrystus

One day, we went to town in Tortola all dressed in our Orange and Green Shirts. This child rushes from her mother's vehicle, about 5 or 6 years old, rushes to me as if she knew me and said that she wanted to go with us. The mother looks up to me, with a strange look as if saying, Mr. do you work with some kind of powers, what have you done with my child? I explained to her who we were, where we were staying and the child wouldn't let me go. Her mother, returning from her lunch break let her child go with me - A TOTAL  STRANGER  and had to bring over her suitcase later in the afternoon. Of course that mother told another two mothers and so we added three more to the camp.

We didn't have to use any of the funds we raised to go to Tortola except for the bus we rented to go and come with the youth when ever we wanted. Since the children in Tortola came from Various churches, their parents wanted us to visit their churches and each place we went, churches collected offerings, people on the street gave donations, people cooked for us, after the two weeks, we had so much food, we had to go into the community to give it out before we left. Interestingly enough, the community centre where we stayed had a clinic and the nurses looked out for us daily. A kind granny accommodated for the couple hours before our return. She stuffed us with pelau, rotis, drinks, snacks. I wondered if it was a trick to make us too heavy for the plane to leave. She made so many roti skins for us to take back to St.Kitts that they lasted weeks."

"The children laughed for days when I tried, tried I say to cook a big pot of cookup and used too much water. It did come out like CRUSHED FIG. So you know, that was my name for the rest of the camp. They forgot about all the other great dishes I had prepared - PEOPLE  EH - PEOPLE - EH. Children too.

I am happy that none of our team members thought to take a picture or Chefs around the world would ban me from coming near a stove for life. Children did say that what ever it was, it tasted great though. Maybe it was my special recipe. I better try doing some for you too. We had fun - Alot of FUN.

When we were board, we went to CONEY  ISLAND  or  the arcade and fun centre in town. Everyone loved how we were organized and nicely dressed in our t-shirts, so we got lots to eat for free and people gave the children donations for ice cream all the time. The owner and other supervisors always came over to have a chit chat with us. When ever we stopped by, we brought life and attention to the atmosphere, because of course everyone knows, that Brother Khrystus is Crazy and Fun in St. Kitts and Out - and the children respect him everytime.

We creatively interwined Bible Studies and lessons into everything. Honestly, I am waiting for a future camp to beat that."

Wallace ended, "I always remember that camp because up to today, I still wonder if we did a right thing to really go. "Our departing day at the airport in Tortola, we broke the children's heart and drew the attention of everyone on the airport. I'm sure people wondered if one of us had died. The children were crying and crying and crying. LOUDLY  AND   I  COULDN'T  KEEP  IT  DOWN.  NEITHER  THEIR  PARENTS. They didn't want us to leave.

When I looked over, tears were coming from some adults eyes. Then as if that wasn't bad enough, Joy "Lady Smiles" Codrington started crying. I tried to stay strong as a leader, but I honestly couldn't hold back the tears. As I walked to the plane and looked back, I didn't see any smiles - EVERYONE  WAS  CRYING and I cried too for while back to St. Kitts. No one was happy to return. It was a quite trip back, we wished we had stayed longer. 2 weeks wasn't enough.

I promised that someday we'll return and we will live up to that promise someday. Next time we return, we will establish Dare 2 Be Different (Tortola) so we can keep sending folks back and forth and they will be able to meet at our International Dare 2 Be Different Youth Conference that will happen every 3 years and bring together young people from every nation where we are planted. So far Kenya, Ghana, St. Kitts, Nevis, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, USA and others coming soon.

Which ever country we decide to have this bi-annual conference, the country would expect to see a leap in foreign exchange, hotel accommodation, business receipts etc.

Brother Khrystus has registered his USA Company - www.thesupplyshopinc.com to provide travel agent services so his team can book their own tickets, change reservations etc along with selling air travel and crusies to raise funds for its many global events and ministries.

Dare 2 Be Different also plans to help children, youths and adults get their visas so they can be apart of their  ONGOING "DISNEY - DISNEY  HERE  WE  COME  EXPLORATON" when ever it is held.

Wallace said that Marcia Jeffers and the popular Teacher Adelaide Stanley, the two ladies that worked tirelessly with him on his first ever trip overseas would get a FREE  TICKET to  their first  DISNEY  TOUR  when it comes around soon as he never forgets those that have helped him and impacted his life at all.

"Teacher Adelaide taught me in Wee-Wisdom with the late Sis. Icilma Penny. Had they not taught me about Daniel in the Lion's Den then, I wouldn't be able to preach about Courage Today. Sister Marcia Jeffers was like a gem, a backbone, a great helpmeat. I wonder if she's married as yet? - SIS  MARCI??????"

A committee will be put in place to plan, coordinate, market and update the website with all of Dare 2 Be Different Caribbean Victory Events on www.caribbeanvictoryevents.com

Be sure to let your child join Brother Khrystus every Thursday at 5pm at Boyds - St. Kitts for The Victor's Club and when we lauched VBS  REVIVED - we want every child in the nation to be apart as the world would never have seen the innovative slant that we will take for our First Ever Vacation Bible School 2013.
