Jesus Crucifixion Re-enactment in St.Kitts draws dozens of Onlookers (Videos Inside)

After the Dare 2 Be Different Victory Centre - www.thevictorycentre.com Good Friday Service which started at 4:30pm on Friday, 29th March, 2013, the members of the only fully dedicated Youth Church in St. Kitts - Nevis, headed to the streets of Trinity Parish to execute a re-enactment of Jesus' Crucifixion, a story they had been learning about for the past two weeks.

From the streets of Boyds, onto the Island's Main Road, then into Garvey's then on to West Farm, then back to The Victory Centre's base via the Island's Main Road where the crucifixion re-enactment was executed, dozens of onlookers rushed from their houses and lined the streets as they heard unfamiliar cries of "Crucify Him" or "Kill Him" etc.

The small crowd that started, grew larger with youths as it passed each village, seemingly what happened in Jesus' time. No one seemed to care either, signalling that things aren't much different today, as it was back then. Adults laughed at The Reverend as the lashes from the youth got harder and harder. The Reverend tested adult's hearts, as he called some by name, since the Trinity Community is his village and some shouted, "Just bang him harder see" and the children did do that indeed.

One child said, "Brother Khrystus, I can't take this anymore, why you gone to do this today eh. You don't deserve it and my head hurting me. Can I go back till ya'll come? You mudda got paracetamol? My head hurting me man."

The other children and youth were not that caring as that little boy. Periodically, The Reverend had to put the cross down or look back and tell the children that it was only a drama and threaten them that they won't get to use the ministry's computer lab that they have access to 7 days a week to keep them occupied and out of trouble, if they beat him too hard.

They didn't bother with him though. I guess they knew he loved them too much to do that.

Just like in Jesus' time. They just didn't care. As a child was "supposedly" pounding the nails into Brother Khrystus' hand, an adult passerby came close by and said, "KILL  HIM AGAIN and gave an evil laugh." Honestly, it doesn't seem like things have changed much at all. Everyone just wants to crucify one another and bring each other down by schemingly planning for them daily like Judas' plot.

By the time he took a bath to wash off the ketchup, his skin was all in wales. Something his mother warned him would happen because it would have been children whipping him without being sensitive that it was a drama and not older youth or adults.

If he was waled like that for a few lashes from children, just imagine what Jesus bore for us as he received lashes from well trained and strong soldiers. Do you know him as Saviour? - Trust him today - Visit: http://www.kwforchrist.com/gpage1.html

The Dare 2 Be Different Victory Centre believes that it is imperative to use outside the box methods to minister, reach others, get their attention and remind them of Jesus in the process. It was just approximately one week ago, for the Church's Palm Sunday Service, they went into that very same community conducting several brief open air services as the youth waved palms in the process. Several persons reached out to commend the youth for what they were doing and several youth got saved after, as Rev. Khrystus Wallace reminded them that it was a similar situation years ago when Jesus died for the sins of the world, except that his cross was heavier, he wore a crown of thorns, the whips they used then creatively had hooks attached to them to rip his skin away etc.

One little boy who gave some trouble while on the crucifixion walk, was told that he would have to carry the cross through the village and then be crucified for not behaving. He started crying and quickly behaved himself.

I guess he saw the pain and lashes that were being ministered to Brother Khrystus in the process and couldn't bear taking them himself. What if he saw what Jesus endured?
