The Honourable Patrice Nisbett is a very, very, very good acquaintance of mine. We sometimes hang around Mr. Rock's Bar at Port Zante - St. Kitts or drive around in Mr. Rock's jeep. When we've done that and dialogued, he has always seemed like he operates in his right frame of mind.
Brother Patrice respects me a lot for calling a spade a spade and for my fearless attitude and my general business, ministry and political charisma. ASK HIM AND HE'LL TELL YOU YES!
Politics is CRAZY BUSINESS EH! You really don't know WHO AND WHO ARE FRIENDS. So sometimes its just better to keep your mouth closed and observe because what ever you say to others or about others ALWAYS comes right back around! BECAREFUL! (Are all politicians FRIENDS? - Think about that!)
After reading one of Erasmus Williams' propaganda articles from The Communication Unit of The Office of The Prime Minister suggesting that Brother Patrice had given instructions to Labour Commissioner Spencer Amory to start the process, by law to look into increasing the minimum wage that currently stands at EC$8.00 per hour / US$2.94 per hour (one of the highest, if not the highest in The Caribbean), I had to conclude that my good acquaintance, Brother Patrice was going off too.
You see local, Caribbean and global reader, "DISILLUSIONITIS" is a very terrible disease that has been spreading in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. As a psychologist, I want to believe that it is even worse than the EBOLA disease. Why? It is messing with the MINDS of people. It is using the POWER OF MIND CONTROL and psychologically keeping folks disillusioned from reality. That is DEADLY! VERY DEADLY! It keeps people operating in the SUBCONSCIOUS where they are easily controlled and not in their CONSCIOUS STATE OF MIND!
Yes "DISILLUSIONITS!" According to confirmed reports from SEVERAL FELLOW LOCAL PSYCHOLOGISTS AND MEDICAL DOCTORS, it was first discovered in the Office of Prime Minister The Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas on Church Street - Basseterre - St. Kitts and is spreading quickly. The Honourable Patrice Nisbett has now got it. So if you don't see ME around Rock's Bar anymore, you understand WHY - I DO NOT WANT TO CATCH IT FROM BROTHER PATRICE. I want to stay in my SUPER CONSCIOUS state of mind.
With that said, I want to make something extremely clear, as ALL politicians keep looking for something their opponents say or do or write to try and SCORE political points. Therefore, I want my readership to know that BROTHER KHRYSTUS and The Blazing Star Movement - www.theblazingstarmovement.com would NEVER be against any effort to HELP the POOR - THE WORKING class increase their standard of living or increase their MINIMUM WAGE. We are for that, but we beg for every corner of the the rug to be dusted before such a move.
What we are totally against, is POLITICIANS, like Brother Patrice and his Boss - The Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas, using the LAW / CONSTITUTION during election time to try to RAISE the hopes of the electorate to gain political mileage and then DASH their hopes again.

The key is to also try and destroy your opponent, defame HIM or HER and get them out of the race.

I really don't want to make this a THESIS paper, but I must share a little bit of my view, because I know for sure that I won't be invited to your DIALOGUE to discuss the increase because instructions have been given from the Office of The Prime Minister to KEEP KHRYSTUS WALLACE away from places where his influence would be detrimental to a LABOUR PARTY FULL CONFIDENCE AGENDA. (I am always kept well informed - secretly! The best politicians are! + people don't know how the tables will turn so they try to be in everyone's GOOD BOOKS! lol.)
Brother Patrice, I know that you know that being a Minister of Government, much less a Prime Minister or Permanent Secretary requires much reading and ongoing communication.
When last have you read a People's Empowerment Programme Report from that office or communicated with my close friend and chum and buddy and youth advisor Brother Geoffery Hanley?
How many people are on the Government Run P.E.P Programme? Isn't it over 3000?
Yes on average 3000 people can't find work and have to be HELPED and PAID by Government even though they are placed in Private Sector Businesses such as mine? KVK ENTERPRISES - www.kvklives.com
I am a TRULY GRATEFUL TO P.E.P. I am not afraid to say that THE LABOUR PARTY GOVERNMENT IS DOING A GOOD THING WITH THE PEOPLE'S EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME.

What I am saying though, is that most small businesses, the key employers in most global societies CANNOT even afford to EMPLOY in a slow economy on a minimum wage of EC$320 per week / US$117.78 per week because things are slow.

Brother Patrice, I hoped my article has made you SOBER again. Life is a daily fight to survive. Increasing a minimum wage certainly won't AFFECT ANY SMALL BUSINESS OWNER. If we have budgeted to pay $320 and minimum wage goes up, all we'd do is cut the hours so an employee gets what we have budgeted for in our small business.
