Today's Sermon: ENDURE THE PROCESS - PART 1

7th September, 2014

Brother Khrystus V. K. Wallace - Founder of Dare 2 Be Different International - www.daretobedifferentskn.com

Subject: ENDURE  THE  PROCESS

Scripture Focus: Jeremiah 32: 1 - 17 and vs 27

Introduction:

There are many times we fall into problems in life and FORGET that God is still ALL  POWERFUL! Still  ALL  MIGHTY! Still  ALL  TRUE! This happens ever so often in many of our lives, but we want to shift the gear today - change our focus today.

We're shifting from a forgetful and depressed mindset to an ENDURANCE  MINDSET - to an I'LL  MAKE  IT  MIND  SET - to a NOTHING  CAN  STOP  ME  MINDSET!

You have JESUS on your side!

When Daniel was in the lion's den, he didn't give up. HE  ENDURED  THE  PROCESS!

When Paul and Silas were thrown into prison and bound by chains - they didn't give up. THEY  ENDURED  THE  PROCESS!

When Moses was leading his people out, despite their negative words and ungrateful spirit, he NEVER gave up. HE  ENDURED  THE  PROCESS!

When Joshua and Caleb went to have a look over at The Promised Land, despite all others said they were not able to possess it, the two young men came back with a POSITIVE word, they knew they could HE  ENDURED  THE  PROCESS and they exclaimed in Numbers 32:11-12 - WE  ARE  WELL  ABLE!

Because these two ENDURED  THE  PROCESS - THEY  WERE  VICTORIOUS

PROCESS  LEADS  TO PURPOSE!

Let's look at a few stories of modern day individuals

1. HENRY  FORD: While Ford is today known for his innovative assembly line and American-made cars, he wasn't an instant success. In fact, his early businesses FAILED and left him broke FIVE  TIMES before he founded the successful FORD  MOTOR  COMPANY

2. R. H. Macy: Most people are familiar with this large department store chain, but  Macy didn't always have it easy. Macy started SEVEN  FAILED  BUSINESSES before finally hitting big with his store in New York City

3. Bill Gates: Gates didn't seem like a shoe-in-for success after dropping out of HARVARD and starting a failed first business with Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen called Traf-O-Data. While this early idea didn't work, Gates' later work did, creating the global empire that is MICROSOFT.

4. Walt Disney: Today, Disney rakes in billions from merchandise, movies, theme parks around the world, but Walt Disney himself had a bit of a rough start. He was fired by a newspaper editor because, "he lacked imagination and had no good ideas." After that, Disney started a number of businesses that didn't last too long and ended with bankruptcy and failure. He kept PLUGGING along, however, and eventually found a recipe for success that worked.

5. Thomas Edison: In his early years, teachers told Edison he was "too stupid to learn anything." Work was no better, as he was fired from his first two jobs for not being productive enough. Even as an inventor, Edison made 1000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. Of course, all those unsuccessful attempts finally resulted in the design that worked.

Most importantly though, JESUS  ENDURED  THE  PROCESS AND  CAME  OUT  VICTORIOUS  GIVING  US  A  REASON  TO  LIVE  ON  AND  HOPE  ON TODAY!

Let's make this morning a morning where we shift our MINDSET and ENDURE!

POINT  1:  FEEL  THE  POWER  OF  GOD

Jeremiah 32: 17:  Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is NOTHING too hard for thee:

Jeremiah 32: 27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?

Jeremiah extols God's Creative Power

He gives GOD all the praise and glory that is due to him.

I'm positive that Jeremiah was indeed admiring God's handiwork when he created this world.

The birds of the air
The fish of the sea
The heavens
The earth
And all mankind

The Prophet Jeremiah recognized that he was unworthy when compared to GOD, therefore he humbled himself on his part as a man.

God answers Jeremiah in the book of Jeremiah 32: 27 - he asks the prophet - TOO  HARD?  TOO  HARD?

FEEL  THE  POWER  OF  GOD

God's response is direct to Jeremiah and his prayer

His reply exactly accords with Jeremiah's Prayer: Is there anything too hard for me?

God does not say that there is nothing too hard for him the book of JEREMIAH  ONLY.

He previously says so in Genesis 18: 14 and later in the Bible in Zechariah 8:6 and Luke 1:37

In Genesis 18: 14 - Sarah laughed and refused to believe that she would have a son but GOD  SAYS  AGAIN: Is there any thing too hard for the LORD?

In Zechariah 8: 6 - He shows in what our faith consists, that is, to believe that GOD CAN perform that which he has promised, though it seem ever so impossible to man.

In Luke 1: 377 - For with God NOTHING shall be impossible (I do believe that passage of scripture speaks for itself and need not be explained - THERE  IS  NOTHING  TOO  HARD  FOR  GOD!

What an encouraging question: IS  ANYTHING  TOO  HARD  FOR  THE  LORD?" Our family troubles, cares and needs are not beyond the power and wisdom of our heavenly father. Let us not despair, but in faith, cast our burdens upon him.

Young people, we have too many things weighing us down - GOD  SPOKE  THOUGH  THE  APOSTLE  PETER  IN

1st Peter 5: 7 - Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Don't give up now - ENDURE  THE  PROCESS -  VICTORY  IS  AHEAD
