28 year old Brother Khrystus V. K. Wallace was VOTED OUT last night! Registered ministry attendees exercised their free and fair RIGHT to vote yearly to elect leaders of Dare 2 Be Different International sub groups and activities last night.
The votes that were cast by a HUG for their favourite nominees who they wanted to lead them over the next year caused 25 year old Brother Lemercius Wallace to win the most hugs instantly making him leader of The Dare 2 Be Different International Youth Fellowship and Fun Friday with dozens of children and youths screaming to the top of their voices when they saw he was ELECTED.
The new leader asked the children to put the chairs to the side and went on his keyboard and rhythm box and the entire atmosphere changed into a party like atmosphere for a while as they danced and had fun and celebrated and smiled sheepishly at the OTHER NOMINEES that lost.
Brother Khrystus was allowed to teach his final lesson to the attendees which was on The Parable of The Talents, where he used the opportunity to encourage his youth to use the gifts that God has given them in a positive way and not put them up or they'll lose them. His exercise for that lesson included puzzles and colouring pages to be completed before the young people all received Hot dogs and juice and went into the FUN SEGMENT of the weekly Friday activity.
Other older teenagers were given fresh responsibilities for the year which include Head of the Kitchen, Lesson markers, Head of Enforcement among others.
Brother Khrystus was asked to comment on the radical and sudden shift of his youth from him to his brother and he said, "You know, I'm happy that we have a plan of succession in our ministry. That is something that many ministries do not have. I am also happy that I didn't just place him there, but the young people had to make their very own choice. People tend to feel better when they are apart of voting or choosing leaders instead of them just SUDDENLY placed on them."
When asked why he thought the children would have elected his Brother to lead them over the next year, Brother Khrystus said, "I guess all of us like CHANGE. I'm the more NERDY one and maybe they're tired of my style and strategies. Brother Lemerce over the years has carried the youth on hikes to the mountain top, to the river, he teaches them to sing in his studio - www.djmerci.com and records them and puts them on CDs and they feel like stars and he just does other creative things that I know that I do not do. I KNOW HE HELPS THEM PLAY A LOT OF GAMES, fixes their phones and computers for FREE, puts on apps and they follow him and love him because he LOVES GAMES AND NINTENDOS. I LOVE BOOKS! BOOKS! BOOKS! People are different and have different strategies and leadership styles and if its a CHANGE they want, they got the change."
Brother Khrystus was asked if he was emotional and what would be his next move and he said, "Every change in our life moves us emotionally, but we have to adjust. It's not that I was kicked out of running my ministry. I still have to preach on Sundays and co-ordinate Sunshine Corner and Bible College and Prayer Meeting on Wednesdays and do other things. This is just one group. I'm involved in a lot of things in my ministry, business, political party so although I'll miss dealing with them on Fridays, I now have a FRIDAY free to do other things. I'll still probably be around many times, but I can use that time in another way, or just relax and rejuvenate."
Brother Khrystus is currently putting together sub-committees at KVK ENTERPRISES - www.kvklives.com, Dare 2 Be Different International - www.daretobedifferentskn.com and The Blazing Star Movement - www.theblazingstarmovement.com. Some positions would be paid positions while others will be voluntary in an effort to make his operations more effective, successful and prosperous and get both YOUTH AND ADULTS who already support him involved and benefiting too.
Talks are already on the way to partner and open a Dare 2 Be Different International Satellite Spots and KVK ENTERPRISES mini branch in Cayon and Old Road with partners already identified to assist. Dare 2 Be Different International is already mobilizing to run several Vacation Bible School Satellite Spots across the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis in Summer of 2015.
Brother Lemerce was asked to comment and all he said while full of smiles was, "IT'S MY TIME NOW!"
