Pastor Keithly Phillip Did a Superb Job Yesterday - He Preached REPENTANCE At The Funeral

Pastor Keithly Phillip - Associate Pastor of The Antioch Baptist Church - www.antiochbaptistskn.org

Pastor Keithly Phillip Did a Superb Job Yesterday - He Preached REPENTANCE At The Funeral. It was the very first time that I ever heard him preach and I certainly don't mind following him around just to hear him again.

I am weary of attending modern day funerals where Pastors and Parish Priests seem quite fearful to PREACH  REPENTANCE to their listening audience. I really don't understand why.

As a preacher too, I want to remind all global preachers that as much as we want to provide comfort to the grieving families of the deceased, it is also imperative that we cause them to face the truth where they FULLY  RECOGNIZE that a life WITHOUT  CHRIST would send them straight to HELL.

Our sermons are to be primarily geared towards our LIVING  CONGREGATION to steer them off the road to destruction, as the dead can't come back to tell them how HEAVEN or HELL is.

Luke 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

Luke 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

Luke 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

Luke 16:27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

Luke 16:28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

Luke 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

Luke 16:30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

Luke 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

As you may very well know, I enjoy being a critic. That's one of the jobs of being a politician in OPPOSITION and leading my own Godly, Youthful Political Party - The Blazing Star Movement - www.theblazingstarmovement.com. I also enjoy publicly commending people and sending them all across the world for my global following to read about them and commend them too.

I listened to every single word that Pastor Keithly Phillip, Associate Pastor of The Antioch Baptist Church - www.antiochbaptistskn.org uttered yesterday at the late Brother Sidney Foster-Webbe's Funeral and also checked to see if he was well prepared and well studied. I had to confess that he was.

To me, personally, I  THINK  THAT  HE  IS  A  GREAT  SPEAKER  AND  A  VERY  DEEP THINKER  TOO. Only great speakers and deep thinkers tend to catch my attention like this and MOVE ME to write a literary piece about them. That's why you'd fine that on my blog over the years, I have written about very, very, very few preachers in St. Kitts and Nevis.

His wife taught me Statistics at The Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College for the one year I decided to spend there. She's a great lady too. A great lecturer indeed!

Let's get back to this piece. Pastor Keithly Phillip was very keen to use proper intonations as he preached at yesterday's Funeral. He knew when to raise his voice to get the attention of his audience and he knew when to be cool and mellow to calmly drive home a point. Great speakers perfect this art!

I also watched the use of his body and hands to bring life and expression to his sermon presentation and to keep his audience captivated and listening.

As a preacher critiquing a preacher, what moved me throughout his sermon yesterday, was the constant reminder to his audience that only a relationship with GOD really matters - only a covenant relationship with God really matters. Only a relationship with GOD would cause us to get into HEAVEN.

Friend - note well, I didn't program my computer systems to send you out an automatic devotional today at 2 am. WHY? I wanted you, all around the world, as this blog entry would be translated into over fifty (50) different languages and read by thousands, to see that I am not the only preacher in The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis who cares about your soul's SALVATION and who is encouraging YOU to put YOUR HOPE  AND  TRUST  IN  GOD  TODAY!

Will you do it today? PLEASE? What if this is your last call to ACCEPT  JESUS?

Reader, may I now admonish you, everywhere around the world, to put out your BEST in what ever you're doing, because you just never know if a REPORTER, like me is ETCHING to write a story about you and market you to the entire world.

Never try to put SELF in front. No one would recognize you! Paul told the Church at Colosse in Colossians 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

That's HOW  YOU'LL  GET  NOTICED  AND  GET  INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION! Don't do what you do for recognition, just stay humble and do it and you'll be exalted!
