NEVIS' University of The West Indies trained Mathematician, Statistician and Economist, Brother Stan Hope was the featured speaker at Brother Khrystus' Dare 2 Be Different International Youth Fellowship TONIGHT.
Hope's motivational session centered around being BOLD, FEARLESS AND COURAGEOUS and living and acting in a proper manner as JESUS is always present and watching everything we do and say.
Hope used several scenarios to drive home one of his KEY POINTS which admonished the youths NOT TOO SHY AWAY FROM DOING SOMETHING BECAUSE THEY WERE FEARFUL OF MAKING MISTAKES.
Hope told the young minds that many persons around the globe were making that mistake and therefore not getting to fulfill and accomplish their dreams and he wanted them to change their mindset. He admonished them on the importance of being attentive, respectful, cooperative and caring.
The Nevis Statistician commended Brother Khrystus and his youths for being SO FEARLESS, BOLD AND OUTSPOKEN which was something not seen much among youths, especially in the church / ministry realm today.
After Brother Hope's session he welcomed and answered many questions. The young people, overly excited to have someone DIFFERENT address them tonight PRESSURED the Nevis Speaker to answer such off topic questions as:
1. Is Nevis boring?
2. Why doesn't Nevis have a MOVIES?
3. Where do you prefer, St. Kitts or Nevis?
4. Are there a lot of killings in Nevis?
5. What do people do in Nevis for fun?
Hope smiled as the session now became a History and Nevis Marketing Class and he handled all the questions professionally and was careful not to bash either St. Kitts or Nevis and create any misconceptions in the young minds. He did a superb job at marketing Nevis, The Queen of The Caribbean, exciting the youths to start hegging Brother Khrystus to take them for a camp there soon.
At the end of Brother Hope's presentation, loud cheers, whistles and hand claps went up in the air from the youth. As THE NEVIS AMBASSADOR moved from the spotlight, one youth SHOUTED AND ASKED HIM, "YOU COMING BACK TO PREACH ON SUNDAY?"
Certainly, tonight's Youth Fellowship Session was more than awesome AGAIN. After Youth Fellowship, the young people received a free snack and went walking and liming closer to the Fair View Inn Hotel with Brother Khrystus. The Fair View Inn Hotel is located in The Trinity Community and was the first HOTEL to be constructed in The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
Tonight's Youth Treats were sponsored by Chief Executive Officer of Akealah's Catering and Delicatessen, Ms. Akealah T. Maynard of Pond's Extension, Basseterre, St. Kitts. She did pay a courtesy call on Brother Khrystus and his youths TONIGHT.
