Children, do not be afraid of WHO HAS HURT YOU - WHO HAS VIOLATED YOU. It could be a teacher or a politician. It could be a doctor or a lawyer. It could be your father or the church deacon or the PASTOR. It could be an Inspector of Police or a Fisherman.
This is but 1% of the information that I received today at the ongoing Capacity Strengthening Skills Training Sub-Project at the Trinity Community sponsored by The Caribbean Development Bank, CANADA, Basic Needs Trust Fund and The Department of Social Services and Community Development.
Today's presenter was the Director of that department herself, Ms. Debra Matthew who did a thorough job. She shared a wealth of information and she left all her departments numbers and the police numbers and REMINDED US ALL THAT IT IS OUR DUTY TO REPORT CHILD ABUSE WHEN EVER WE SEE IT AND NOT TRY TO DEAL WITH THE MATTER OURSELVES AS UNTRAINED PERSONS.
I'll present what we learnt in several future articles, but the focus of this blog entry is to EMPOWER CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 18 in St. Kitts and Nevis and ALL AROUND THE WORLD to know that YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ACCEPT AND TOLERATE AND BE FEARFUL OF THE ABUSERS ANYMORE - HELP IS READILY AVAILABLE NOW MORE THAN EVER!
