Dearest Mother

Among the many people who've influenced my life,
There's seldom any other who ranks
So high as you.
You have been truly special.
When others tried to put me down
And made me feel downcast,
You stood up strong, right there for me,
And not a shadow you cast.
Thanks for believing in me.
When I was sick and saddened,
And faced death's door oft times,
Twas you who stayed up many a night,
And gave life one more chime.
Thanks for your sustenance.
When I was about to give up
On projects tough to end,
You stood by me as a bastion,
And were my truest friend.
Thanks for your motivation.
Now that I have climbed,
Few ladders to the top,
You're still my inspiration,
My honour -
My filled cup.
Oh Mother you've been there for me.
I can ne'er repay,
The selfless things you thought of,
And did for me alway.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

. . . a poem suggestion for you reading all around the world for Mother's Day 2015. CHERISH  YOUR  MOTHER. I  SOMETIMES  WISH  MINE  WAS  STILL  AROUND
