In Gratitude To Mother

I recall
How you, one eve,
Held my weakened hands,
When childhood pains had touched me hard.
You awoke many a night,
To cool my feverish brain.
You bathed and rubbed my body,
When I could hardly speak.
You reached out in love to serve me.
You were mother. I was your child.
You made well sure that,
Every little wrong was righted.
You stilled my storm like childhood,
Gave me hope for future bright.
Today I'm grown, I'm grateful,
How you stuck to your task,
And not a fleeting moment,
You failed to play your part.
Now it's my turn to be thankful,
And show you and let you know.
In all the world, you're special -
O how I love you so.
May this day leave you mindful,
That in your children's heads,
Are cherished living memories,
From hearts appreciated.

. . . a poem suggestion for you reading all around the world for Mother's Day 2015. CHERISH  YOUR  MOTHER. I  SOMETIMES  WISH  MINE  WAS  STILL  AROUND
