I  WAIT

Like a nest of hungry fledgings when mother bird is delayed.....
I  WAIT!
As a tired nomad roaming the steaming desert before rain....
I  WAIT!
Like an anxious father for the birth of a first child.....
I  WAIT!
As a dreamer setting sight upon a distant star.....
I  WAIT!

I  WAIT!
I HOPE!
I  BELIEVE!
I  WAIT!

I wait to soar above the circumstances and depressed scenes of life.
I  WAIT!
I wait to pursue the games I like to play with, gay abandon.
I wait to see that FAIRNESS  AND  JUSTICE are at play - at work
I wait to see JUSTICE roll down like the waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream.
I wait to conquer conquests I have pictured in my dreams.
I  WAIT!
To make my entry and exit into distant, happy, worlds.
I  WAIT!
To stop, to touch and smell the rose, fresh with the morning dew.
I wait to make my work touch a life, a home, a world.
I  WAIT!
To make my peace with GOD a rendezvous of love.
