9 year old Pastor Shaquan Percival is one of the most faithful, honest, down to earth, helpful youth members of Dare 2 Be Different International Youth Ministry and The Victory Centre for well over twelve months now.
The faithful young man from The Trinity Community who lives with Granny Verlyn Warner only misses a Dare 2 Be Different International Youth Activity or a Victory Centre Church Service if he has to travel to another village to spend time with his mother Shanny Percival or if he is ill.
After school, Pastor Shaquan is by Brother Khrystus and knows where everything is and fearlessly keeps everyone and everything in PROPER ORDER or else he makes a complaint reminding everyone that "THIS IS A CHURCH!"
He also leads the way in converting Brother Khrystus' space into a church setting and then back into a business setting after, by instructing and leading attendees younger and older than him to pack up the chairs and help to clean up. Assisting or volunteering to wash up the dishes after the ministry's "EAT-UP" after each activity is never a problem for the 9 year old leader or Pastor to be.
As one of the most respectful youths around, the young man never walks into Brother Khrystus' office without knocking and asking to enter and reminds all that that is what they should do and have manners.
About two years ago, Pastor Shaquan was knocked down by a bus on the main road in The Trinity Community and was in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at The Joseph N. France General Hospital for quite sometime before being transported to Barbados for further help with his grandmother Sister Verlyn Warner.
Certainly, God has spared the young man's life and he certainly seems most grateful to him as he gives much of his time and service staying positively occupied in the Things of God.
At Dare 2 Be Different International, children and youth lead the way and 99% of the ideas they give are executed which is one of the reasons that they love being apart as they stay involved and help to see their visions and dreams come to life.
Brother Khrystus' Dare 2 Be Different International Ministry was founded on 1st June, 2008 with a mission to Impact The Globe for Christ and Reach YOUTH in particular using creative and outside the box methods. The youth ministry and church continues to grow week by week, not by any of Brother Khrystus' doing, but as those youths in attendance invite their friends to attend and beg parents to register their children and teens.
