People's Action Movement Winning Candidate from Constituency # 1 Honourable Ian "Patches" Liburd's Father, Mr. Oliver Glasford is very much in his RIGHT  MIND  AT  89 years old.

When my telephone rang a few minutes ago, it was 89 year old Mr. Oliver Glasford asking for the copy of the article I wrote about him as I had promised and as he had requested because he has been waiting for days now.

I honestly wondered how he got hold of my cell number, because I honestly don't remember giving him a business card, but then again, my numbers and contact information are public globally.

I must publicly apologize and I think you should too. Many times we tend to put our long living CRYSTAL  ELDERLY  GEMS in a box and think that they too are not up to date with technology. 

FAR  FROM  THE  TRUTH. 89 year old Mr. Oliver Glasford used his CELL  PHONE  TO  CALL ME  JUST  NOW!

TOTALLY  AMAZING!

But then, why am I surprised, a few years ago, a 92 year old man from the USA found my SKYPE CONTACT: kvkent ONLINE and called me and when I answered and he did get someone to talk to, he kept communicating with me over and over and over. It was evident that he wanted someone to talk to as he was lonely. That's what he told me. Everyone was too busy for him now and he doesn't want to go and live in a home. He was blaming NO  ONE. He was just encouraging me all the time to ENJOY  MY  YOUTH, KEEP  WRITING  MY  ARTICLES  AND  KEEP  HAVING  FUN, because when OLD  AGE  KICKS  IN, I'll be just like him too.

He told me of his days in the USA Navy and his upbringing in the USA, all his family life, struggles and successes. What he endured, which included WAR and family issues could never be compared to MY  STORY. So I Bless God daily for my story!

So, it is a truism, that the SEASONED  GLOBAL  CITIZENS enjoying their retirement, may be much more up to date and versatile with technology than you and I.

In closing, may I encourage the formation of more COMMUNITY  GROUPS around St. Kitts and Nevis, the Caribbean and the world whose agenda would solely be TO  HELP  THE  ELDERLY - those who worked hard and were consistent in helping to bring the GLOBAL  DEVELOPMENT THAT  WE  ALL  NOW  ENJOY, even though many times we tend to be SOOOO  VERY  UNGRATEFUL and stay CRITICIZING instead of COMMENDING!
