With Brother Khrystus dressed in a short pant, flip flops and a t-shirt to stay down to the level of his Trinity Community youths as "THEY COME AS THEY ARE" during the week, the midweek youth Victory Centre Bible College and Prayer Meeting was DIFFERENT TONIGHT!
Having opened in prayer and sang lustily to songs such as Thanks, Thanks, Ancient of Days, Above All Powers to name a few, the crowd boldly recited the ministry's pledge:
I AM AN EAGLE,
I WILL TRUST GOD,
I WILL FOLLOW JESUS' EXAMPLE,
I WILL DO RIGHT,
I WILL DO GOOD!
Having done that, Brother Khrystus focused the minds tonight on the importance of having dreams, setting goals and spending time meditating and looking within. One of the scriptures dissected this evening was Psalm 121:1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
The youths were constantly reminded to look to GOD for their help and sustenance for he has helped in times past and no matter how challenging life may be now, they were reminded that GOD WOULD CERTAINLY HELP AND DELIVER AGAIN.
After a guided time of prayer and meditation, Sister Kaylana Edwards, the 12 year old ministry secretary who sits on the YOUTH BOARD took the roll call and those who were to assist in sharing in the kitchen tonight, did their thing and all were handsomely fed before leaving for home.
All in all, it was certainly yet another Dare 2 Be Different International Victory Centre Bible College and Prayer Meeting to remember.
