Under the distinguished Patronage of The New Deputy Prime Minister of The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, The Honourable Shawn K. Richards, Mrs. Mary Clarke's Verchilds High School 2015 Sports Day, took place today Sunday, 8th March, 2015.
It was certainly colour, charisma and talent as green house, blue house and red house competed in a variety of keenly contested races during the annual afternoon event, all in an effort to showcase to the overwhelming crowd that attended, who was definitely strongest of them all.
The Verchilds High School athletes banked on all the adrenaline they had left in their bodies, just to ensure that they gave a certain number of points to their respective houses by participating in each race depending on how they performed.
All praise must be given to God for dispatching angels to hold back the showers of rain that were all set in the clouds to pour down today. I'm positive that GOD wanted today's Verchilds High School Sports Day event to be SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT and that's just why He did it.
Many of the races were overly close and intense and this kept the energy from the crowd tipping the richter scale. The DJ for the afternoon also kept many parents and supporters gyrating and gyrating and gyrating in the joyful atmosphere as they cheered the VHS athletes from the stand.
We are all cognizant of the fact that all good things must come to an end and every competition does have to have a winner. Therefore, congratulations are definitely in order for GREEN HOUSE - Sports Day Winners 2015 at The Verchilds High School.
After the individual house battles today, Verchilds High School athletes UNIFY to give all other schools across The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis a good whipping at Inter-School Championships in a few days time, JUST AS THE WEST ALWAYS DOES WITH EVERYTHING WE TEND TO PUT OUR HANDS AND FEET AND MOUTHS AND TALENT TOO! WE BEAT EVERYONE ELSE UP BADLY!
