Dear Samal,
I remember very well, Mrs. Dorothy Warner, our English Literature teacher at The Verchilds High School teaching me a poem that I had to say to represent our former alma mater in an elocution contest at The University of The West Indies Campus - St. Kitts.
The words are (AUTHOR UNKNOWN)
To every man there openeth a way, and ways, and a way,
And the high soul climbs the high way,
And the low soul gropes the low.
And in between, on the misty flats, the rest drift to and fro.
But to every man there openeth a high way and a low;
And every man decideth the way his soul shall go.
I want to offer you the CHANCE to climb THE HIGH WAY with The Blazing Star Movement. Hon. Sam Condor will definitely understand that it is time for the youths to take over, and although he'll feel hurt that his campaign manager is leaving him, he will be humble enough to understand.
This is POLITICS! It is LIFE! We have to expect shocking changes DAILY! Life is ALWAYS full of shocking and sudden changes - that is a FACT. Pray about it and MAKE THE SWITCH TODAY AND BE SURE THAT YOU'RE CLIMBING THE HIGH WAY - Don't Regret!
I am fully aware that you have to get the approval from your fiance and I respect that. Don't let her fool you though. Deep down in her heart, she wants to see you as a candidate - the WINNING REPRESENTATIVE - serving the people of The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis in a constituency under a Blazing Star Movement Banner.
Don't let me down FRIEND - primary and high school and LIFETIME FRIEND. I'm fully depending on you! Thanks in advance for accepting. If you don't accept though, I can rest my head on a block and tell the world that you will cast your VOTE FOR THE BLAZING STAR MOVEMENT even if you're someone else's campaign manager - CHEERS.
I promise to give you a NEW MINISTRY - THE MINISTRY OF ENTERTAINMENT. (Even if you don't make the switch though, the world knows that you'll definitely be a SENATOR. Don't worry!)
