Today's Word: Long Enough - I'm Coming Out! - Part 1

Greetings Global Follower,

I know I stated in last week's blog and global email blast, that I don't plan to blog about this week's service, but I am now forced to go against my word and obey your requests to learn what we learned from God's Word today.

Before I do, let me take time to wish All the mothers that follow me and read my articles around the world - Happy Mother's Day 2014.

Today's Dare 2 Be Different International Victory Service was extra special and awesome. Be blessed by the WORD titled - LONG  ENOUGH - I'M  COMING  OUT!

Scripture: Deuteronomy 1:6 - 8

De 1:6 The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:

De 1:7 Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.

De 1:8 Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them

Introduction:

The children of Israel wandered in the wilderness for forty year. They had rebelled against the Lord when he brought them to Kadesh-Barnea, only moths after they left Egypt, and they refused to move into the promised land.

That is simply why we hear the servant of God saying: "Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount: Turn you and take your journey. . . " Deut. 1:1-7.

We too, like Israel, sometimes get bogged down in the Lord's work and other daily work and stresses and fall into a whirlpool of activities. At times, we start running the Christian race "hot like fire," and later on we cool down and then find ourselves not moving on. We then seem to grab hold of sinful activities and want to play the game with God. God today - Sin Tomorrow. We seem to be going round and round in circles, with no onward - forward - nor upward movement. If that is the case, it's time to say - LONG  ENOUGH - I'M COMING  OUT!

It's time to tell the enemy that you're stepping out of the lies, lust, fornication and other evil things we may be doing.

In order to move on, we must have several things in place.

POINT  1:  WE  MUST  HAVE A  PROPER  MOTIVATION

Definition: This word comes from a Latin word, motivus, which means moving force or power. As you know, a boat may have sails, but it must have power in order for it to move, and that is the wind.

A bicycle may have wheels, but it must have some one to apply power so that it can move.

Christian youths, we CANNOT expect MOTIVATION if we don't have a true picture of the condition of the world. We CANNOT expect to move on if we don't be honest with GOD and with ourselves about the condition or the situation that WE  ARE  GOING  THROUGH - LYING  OUR  WAY  OUT  OF  OUR  SITUATIONS  won't work. When we repent - say sorry, accept our faults and mistakes, face our fears and ask God for forgiveness, he will have mercy and so will OTHERS.

Nehemiah is a good example of the way one should be MOTIVATED  FOR  GOD.

1. HE  ASKED - Neh. 1:2

(and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem)

2. HE  LOOKED - Neh. 2: 13 - 15

(And I went out by night by the gate of the valley, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with fire) - HE  WENT  TO  LOOK  AT  THE  CONDITION  OF  THE  CITY  FOR  HIMSELF.

When we hear things about people, we shouldn't just RUN  WITH  RUMOURS. We should go search out and ask for ourselves and see how we can HELP. We can not be like OTHER's at The Victory Centre. We have to be DIFFERENT - We have to DARE  TO   BE  DIFFERENT!

3. HE  WEPT - Neh. 1:4

(And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven)

4. HE  WORKED - Neh. 2: 17 - 18

(Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.)

Part 2 and Conclusion Next Week - Once God Spares Life! See you then!

I preached this word over FIVE  YEARS ago at an event hosted by The Unique Touch Christian Centre pastored by Clive Saunders in Romney Ground - St. Kitts. Here is a clip from this exact same word. Don't keep the blessing for yourself, share this email or blog entry with all your friends around the world.
