Dear Global Follower,
Among the many worship songs, choruses and hymns that we sang from our song books today at our 8:30 am Dare 2 Be Different International Victory Centre Service, the following song got our youths and adults extra happy.
As I told our fellowship, so I tell you too. Don't let ANYONE rob you of your joy, your peace, your victory or your relationship with JESUS CHRIST.
As you are well aware, as you follow my blogs and/or receive emails directly to your computer or smart phone or via my several facebook and dozens of other social media pages, we started a two part sermon series last week titled, "Don't Stop Running! The Lord is With You!"
We used 1st Samuel 18:6-12 as our focus verses and we talked initially about Wicked King Saul and David being promoted in the army. We also shared news about how David slew more than his leader, Saul and this bred hatred and contempt while the ladies sang and danced in David's honour.
Men, if you don't know, let me tell you. Women prefer and admire, BOLD MEN. Men they feel can defend them. Apart from love, care and attention, they always look for LEADERSHIP and SECURITY.

So, we completed Part 2 of the sermon series today. Let's get straight into it so, you're not left out.

When you are praised and popular, it isn't wise to let it go to your head. David was no doubt happy to hear these affirming words, but he didn't let it dominate his thinking or change his opinion of himself. He kept the heart and the mind of shepherd, even in a SEASON OF GREAT SUCCESS!
This wasn't easy. This was test, one that the devil wanted to use to bring David down, and one that the Lord wanted to use to build David up. David never received this kind of affirmation when he was keeping the sheep. The sheep never danced and sang a song praising him! Now David faces the challenge of SUCCESS. Many people who could handle adversity well enough, FALL UNDER THE CHALLENGE OF SUCCESS.

Then SAUL was very angry.
Knowing his character, we are not surprised by Saul's reaction. Saul did not have a right relationship, or a close relationship with the LORD. All he had to affirm his heart was the praise of man, so when David was more praised that he, it really bothered Saul.
It is a bad sign in a leader when they resent or feel threatened by the success of one of their subordinates. It is a certain sign of weakness in that leader.

So SAUL eyed David from that day forward.
Now Saul's mind is filled with suspicion towards David. He will begin to hear most of everything David says with suspicious sears. He will look at most of David's actions with suspicious eyes. His thoughts about David will be twisted by suspicion.
He gave way to that devilish vice of envy, which was henceforth as a fire in his bosom, a worm continually gnawing upon his body. He looked upon him with an evil eye: prying into all his actions, and making the worst of everything. (Trapp)

David knew all this! He didn't let it humiliate him or get him feeling down and depressed.
He kept on running! He kept on Serving! He stayed Faithful!
We too must do the very same in GOOD TIMES and in BAD! We must always remember.
No weapon that is formed against you will prosper. And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from ME," declares the LORD.

WHEN YOU DON'T STOP RUNNING, FIGHTING, WORKING HARD, PRAYING, STAYING FAITHFUL, BEING BOLD - You'll find the WINNER in YOU!

Get EXCITED or RE-EXCITED about GOD and Keep on GOING! Don't stop until you DISCOVER THE WINNER IN YOU!
Today's altar call had folks pledging to NOT STOP RUNNING and accepting that the Lord is with them for sure! I can't give an altar call here again, but if you've been blessed by today's word, I want to encourage you to pause from what ever you're doing now, for a few minutes and say this prayer to the top of your VOICE -
"LORD, I WON'T STOP RUNNING BECAUSE I KNOW YOU ARE WITH ME! I AM WINNER ALREADY! I WILL LIVE AND NOT DIE! I WILL MAKE IT THROUGH MY TRIAL AND MY STORM. I WILL LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES AND NOT LET THEM KEEP ME DOWN AND DEPRESSED! CONTINUE TO BE MY SHIELD, DEFENDER AND PROTECTION. I APPLY A FRESH PORTION OF YOUR BLOOD OVER MY LIFE AND SITUATION AND CLAIM THE VICTORY IN JESUS NAME. AMEN!"
